Corporate Training
HELP(NT) and "The Rock" management, as qualified Outdoor Recreation trainers are offering opportunities for assessment and training in competencies associated with the Australian National Training Authority (ANTA) qualification framework for the Outdoor Recreation Industry training package - SRO03. Assessment will also assist with determination of competencies required for membership of the new National Outdoor Leadership Registration Scheme (NOLRS) which began rolling out across Australia in 2003. The assessment process for both the certificated qualifications and NOLRS registration will include recognition of prior learning (RPL) processes along with workshops and training modules. All training will be conducted to a Certificate III/IV level to include core elements in Risk Assessment and Emergency Management needed for conducting and leading outdoor recreation activities.

Team Building-"Team up for Success"
This program is designed to allow "groups that work together" to learn and implement the behaviours of "effective teams." Groups are presented with challenges instead of solutions that will enable them to learn problem solving in a safe and supportive environment. The instructors will use purposeful activities that will help participants find the connections between activities completed at the Rock Centre, to those challenges they face in their everyday lives and at work. This program is designed for teams that are coming together, and also for teams that would like to reenergize and move forward with new skills. As the group develops and becomes more comfortable the Rock staff will raise the level of the challenges. The goal is to expand comfort zones and promote outside the box type thinking.
What are the results?
- - New skills that build more effective teams
- - Better understanding of team development
- - Increased awareness of ourselves as members of a group
- - Increased sensitivity to others
